Instructions:

Form the macaroni broken into pieces with onion in boiling salted water, stir, after boiling turn off the stove and cook the macaroni, then drain, rinse with cold water so that the macaroni do not stick together.

Put half of it in a mold, sprinkle the diced ham on top and add the rest of the macaroni as a finishing touch. Pour with the milk mixed with egg, seasoning and flour. On top of the filled amount sprinkle the topping.

Bake in 25-half hour at 225 °C, then turn off the stove and rest in the oven for another 5-10 min.

The macaroni must be well salted so that the casserole does not taste bland. Instead of ham, you can also use smoked sausage for leftovers, or possibly layer in selchkaree roast, as well as the meat of a cooked ham bone, which is also the reason why the casserole is called ham funeral.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish will taste twice as good!
