Instructions:

For the curd orange slices, first prepare the dough base. First mix the flour with the baking powder, then add the sugar, butter and eggs and knead everything into a smooth dough.

Roll out the dough to the size of the baking tray, place it on the baking tray and prick it several times with a fork.

Preheat the oven to 180° top / bottom heat. For the topping, mix the curd cheese with the sugar and eggs. Dissolve the vanilla custard powder in the orange juice and add to the curd mixture.

Grate the zest from 2 of the untreated oranges and mix into the curd. Peel and fillet all 4 oranges, cut the orange slices into orange cubes and stir into the curd mixture as well.

Spread the topping on the pastry base. For the coconut crumble, mix butter, coconut flakes and sugar and rub between hands to make crumbles. Spread the sprinkles evenly over the topping.

Bake the curd orange slices for approx. 30 – 40 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

For the curd orange slices, you can also replace the filleted oranges with any other type of fruit.
