Dissolve some of the sugar in a little milk.
Dissolve yeast in it and mix with 2 tablespoons of flour. Let the dampfl rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
Knead the dampfl, remaining milk, remaining sugar, flour, yolks, butter, rum and 1 pinch of salt into a smooth dough. Let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Use a spoon to make dumplings and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Preparation Tip:
It goes particularly well with applesauce or cranberry compote.
