For the spinach and potato strudel, cut the onion into rings and fry in oil. Boil the potatoes, peel, slice and add to the onions. Salt and pepper everything and fry well.

Prepare the creamed spinach according to package directions and mix with the potatoes. Let the mixture cool down.

Stir the cream cheese spread into the mixture and season everything with salt, pepper, nutmeg and garlic if necessary.

Make sure that the mixture is not too soft, add a few more potatoes if necessary. Roll out the puff pastry and spread the mixture lengthwise in the middle.

Fold in the spinach and potato strudel and brush with egg if desired. Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees (middle shelf).

Preparation Tip:

A sour cream dip and a leaf salad or even a fried egg goes well with the spinach and strawberry strudel.
