Mix the flour, yeast, sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk into a pre-dough and let rest for 15 minutes.
Mix remaining milk, butter, rest of sugar, egg yolks and salt.
Add to the pre-dough and knead into a smooth dough. Let rest again for 30 minutes.
Heat oil and using a tablespoon, prick “dumplings” out of the dough and fry in batches in the hot fat for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Drain the baked mice on kitchen paper and coat with powdered sugar.
Preparation Tip:
You can dust the baked mice with cocoa instead of powdered sugar.
