For the American chocolate cake, first cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Sift the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar and salt and stir in. Finally, add the chopped pecans. Grease the springform pan (28cm) and fill the dough.

Put it in the hot oven and bake for about 30 minutes. Then sprinkle the cake with the finely chopped marshmallows, return to the oven and bake for another ten minutes until the marshmallows melt.

For the glaze, melt the butter in a saucepan. Mix with the sugar, cream and cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in the chopped pecans. Pour the mixture over the cake while it is still warm and chill the American chocolate cake for about 2 hours.
