Bring water to a boil, pour tea into a tea strainer and hang in the water. Let steep for 3 minutes, then remove tea strainer.
Add remaining ingredients and bring punch to a boil briefly. Remove from heat and let steep, covered, for about 20 minutes.
Pour punch through a sieve and reheat if necessary, but do not boil again!
Preparation Tip:
Serve the punch with cinnamon sticks, it will give it extra flavor!
