Instructions:

For the donuts, put the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Put the yeast in a small bowl, add water and mix well.

Add milk and stir until there are no more lumps. Now add this yeast mixture to the flour mixture and add the butter (it should be soft).

Separate the eggs – only yolks are needed – mix everything together and knead into a smooth dough by hand. Cover with a tea towel and let rest for about 30 minutes.

Knead the dough (on a floured surface) and roll out to about 1.5 cm thick using a glass (diameter about 10 cm) to cut out circles.

Then cut out the donut hole in the center from these with a smaller glass. Now cover the donut blanks with a tea towel and let them rest for another 30 minutes.

Then place the blanks in a deep fryer preheated to approx. 170 °C and deep fry for approx. 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Allow to cool/drain.

Now dip the donuts in hot melted chocolate and sprinkle with sprinkles, or however you feel like it. Allow the decoration to harden and then eat.

Preparation Tip:

The donuts look fantastic when you make lots of different patterns.
