Cut the pears into small cubes and mix with lemon juice. Coarsely chop the chocolate.

Beat butter, yolks and sugar until fluffy, fold in snow. Sift flour and baking powder over the butter-egg mixture and incorporate into the mixture. Fold in pears and chocolate.

Fill the muffin cups and bake on the middle shelf for 25 minutes (180 °C top/bottom heat or 170 °C convection oven).

Allow the muffins to cool slightly and serve.

Preparation Tip:

The muffins also taste delicious with apples instead of pears.
