For the straw cake, stir together eggs and eggnog with sugar and butter. Put the curd in a tea towel and squeeze until only 170 g of the 250 g are left.
Then add, continue to stir. Add flour mixed with baking powder, stir in orange sugar and bitter almond flavoring, and last add the almond slivers and chocolate chips.
Bake in a greased, floured loaf pan at 170 degrees hot air for about 50 minutes. The straw cake is not glazed.
