For the raisin rolls, first sift the flour into a large bowl. Add eggs, sugar, salt and crumbled yeast. Warm the milk with the butter until lukewarm (e.g. in the microwave).

Mix milk-butter with the other ingredients and mix with a mixer (kneading chopper). Cover the dough with a clean tea towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1/2 hour.

Mix again and let rise again for 1/2 hour. Then form small rolls with dough and raisins and place in muffin cups. Let rise there again for about 10 minutes.

Brush each roll with beaten egg and sprinkle with hail sugar. Bake the raisin buns in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes at 180°C.

Preparation Tip:

For extra delicious and moist raisin buns, soak the raisins in rum for half a day and let them steep. The muffins can also be super frozen and thawed as a snack or breakfast.
