Instructions:

For the marzipan stars, knead a short pastry from the ingredients and chill for approx. 1 hour. Cut out discs, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180 °C for approx. 12 minutes.

Knead marzipan with sugar and cherry rum, roll out on sugar and cut out exactly as many stars as there are slices.

Dip the tops of the cooled cookies in the tempered chocolate icing and cover with marzipan stars before the icing has dried, then allow the marzipan stars to dry.

Preparation Tip:

For the marzipan stars you can also use a different rum or even amaretto.
