Instructions:

For the Emmental cake, prepare a shortcrust pastry with wheat flour, butter, egg and salt. For the filling, sauté the onions, smoked bacon, mushrooms and peppers in butter. Add the QimiQ and dissolve.

Stir a beaten egg into the lukewarm filling, season and finish with parsley and roll out the short pastry. Cover a pie dish or a baking tray with it. Raise the dough at least 3 inches at the edges.

Spread the filling over the dough and sprinkle the Emmentaler on top. Bake the Emmentaler cake in the preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown.
