Instructions:

Melt the granulated sugar in a saucepan until dark caramel. Quench with cold water, add hot water, stir in the coffee and cook until the caramel has dissolved. Pour through a very fine sieve and let cool. Pour into bottles, seal tightly and store in the refrigerator.
