Boil the water with the sugar and let it cool down a bit.

Mix the flowers and the citric acid into the sugar water. Let the mixture steep for 3 days in a dark, cool place.
Prepare bottles for bottling.
Empty the elderflower syrup through a sieve and then fill it into the bottles. Before closing the bottles, apply a few drops of alcohol and set on fire.
