Instructions:

Peel and finely chop the onion. Remove the outer leaves and the stalk from the cabbage head and cut it into small pieces.

Cut away the rind from a sturdy bacon and cut it into cubes.

For the Fleckerl, put on a pot of salted water and cook the pasta in it according to the package instructions and drain.

Heat a little oil in a large frying pan and fry the bacon in it. Add the onions and sauté until translucent. Sprinkle with a spoonful of sugar and let everything caramelize briefly.

Now add the cabbage, sauté briefly and deglaze with sweet wine. Season with salt, pepper and caraway. Add the soup and let the cabbage simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, so that it is soft but still has a little bite.

Before serving, add the Fleckerl to the cabbage and heat again briefly in the pan.

Garnish with parsley and serve.

Preparation Tip:

The Krautfleckerl taste even better when served with a dollop of sour cream.
