Trenenec is a recipe from the Yugoslavian cuisine. A fine thing, if times pork roast or possibly Selchkaree remained. Because to it potatoruettler fits prima.

Brush the potatoes well under running water. Cook in a saucepan covered with salted water for 25 minutes. Drain, rinse, peel and cool.

Cut ham into narrow strips 3 cm long. Wash off the cress. Cut leaves into small pieces with kitchen scissors. Dry with household paper.

Melt butter in a saucepan. Grease a shallow ovenproof dish or a cake springform pan (26 cm ø) well with light butter. Pour 1/3 of the potato mixture into it. Drizzle with butter. Sprinkle with half of the ham strips and the cress. Add another 1/3 of the potato mixture with butter and sprinkle with the remaining ham and cress. Cover with the potato mixture and drizzle with the remaining butter. Place on the middle shelf in the heated oven. Baking time 40 min.
